Romantic Dressing Room
For Girls Only!!!!!
My romantic dressing room is my favorite room in my cottage. This room has all the elements for a romantic decor. There is my most favorite mirror with the large barbola roses sweeping down the side. There is my limoges plates with lady dancers in their colorful dresses. Roses are everywhere from the drapes, pillows, plates & pictures to the ones in my vintage wicker bridal vases and beautiful victorian umbrella stand. I have dress forms large & small embellished with pink ribbons & roses. I have a large french dressing table with all kinds of victorian sterling jars, and vanity items. There is lace everywhere from the lace curtains to the vintage lace dresses I displayed everywhere. Another favorite is my cherubs flying high and holding all kinds of things like golden tassels & minature chandeliers. Cherubs bring a sweet romantic touch to a room. My favorite thing to display is my vintage collections of old bridal things from weddings past. This is a room capturing the glamour of yesterday. The passion of the pink pearl girl is to bring back the romance that we long for in our busy lives.

She loves everything vintage and is a collector. Website owner of 2Chic4Shabby at www.2chic4shabby.com.The photos are of an exhibit that she did last summer at a museum in upstate NY. It was a 100 year retrospective of wedding entitled "To Have and Hold".She likes to tell the story of the woman who wore my clothing and therefore honor her memory. I included popular sheet music for weddings thru the decades, trousseaus, honeymoon posters and as often as I could a picture of the bride in her dress (including both WWI and WWII war brides). The collection is just beautiful!

Here are pictures of Vickie's 6-sided aquarium. It sits on a bar between kitchen and dining area. Usually at Christmas/holiday time, she will put snowmen, santas, etc in the aquarium. Vickie usually changes it every holiday. Right now it has pink and white china. I just love this idea. Thanks for sharing Vickie!
